University of Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Featured in EMS World
The University of Minnesota Emergency Medical Services (UMEMS) is one of six programs featured in the article “Back to School: Another Look at College-Based EMS” in the October 30, 2019, issue of EMS World. The article examines the important role these programs play not only in serving the EMS needs of campus communities, but also in providing educational opportunities for students. Robert Ball, EMS Team Manager, believes that one of the strengths of the UMEMS program is the students’ “true spirit of giving back to their university community.”

If You See Something, Say Something
If you see something suspicious taking place on campus, report that behavior or activity to the UMPD, or in the case of emergency call 9-1-1. Factors such as race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation alone are not suspicious. You should report only suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack in a public place or someone trying to break into a restricted area) rather than beliefs, thoughts, ideas, expressions, associations, or speech unrelated to terrorism or other criminal activity.
